    • Events that will require multiple DJs setup in different spaces, rooms, or halls on the same day

    • Robust A/V setups including, but not limited to, trussing, detailed light show, pipe and drape, spotlighting, gobos, etc.

Good Things to Know Before Booking

  • We have options for full day or multi-day service

  • Bookings are for full hours

  • We do not require a minimum number of service hours

  • The more details you can share with us on your inquiry form, the better service rate that we may be able to offer, assuming our availability.

  • Details that may affect pricing includes, but is not limited to, the number of service hours requested, your estimated event attendee size, date of event, city, urgency of booking.

  • Package Pricing available when packaged with other OneAway Studios services for the same event.

  • A Non-Refundable 50% Deposit Of The Total Price is needed to secure our services.

  • Depending On The Date Of Your Event, A Deposit Less Than 50% May Be Available For Packages Over $2,000

  • The DJ + PA Limited Time Flash Spring Promotion Pricing is valid only for events in the state of Texas.

Good things to know about our dj + PA Service 📝

  • We do not charge for our setup and strike down time

  • All of the music we play are radio edits and/or family friendly unless requested otherwise by the client

  • All of our PA systems can be quickly adjusted to dial back the volume output based on environment needs and requests

  • Once you receive a DJ service proposal from us, via email, if we haven’t spoken with you already, we will call you to confirm you received the email and to make sure you are receiving the best adequate PA system option for your event

  • Whether before or after you book our DJ services, we can help you build a tentative music itinerary that is custom to your event needs

  • After the booking, but well before your event, we will send you a questionnaire for you to share specific details about your music preferences

  • "PA" system stands for Public Address.

    A PA system is an electronic system that enhances human speaking voices (via microphones connected through a sound mixing board and to the PA system) and has the ability to also play live or recorded music for events such as weddings, Birthday parties, etc.

  • "Top" speakers, also referred to as tweeter speakers, refer to speakers that enhance the higher (treble) frequencies of sound.

    Top speaker only system setups are great for:

    • Wedding ceremonies

    • Speaking engagements

    • Intimate gatherings that will not require a loud or “club style” sound output

    "Bottom" speakers, also referred to as sub speakers, subwoofers, or bass speakers, refer to speakers that enhance the lower (sub) frequencies of sound.

    While top speakers can be utilized without sub speakers, sub speakers can not be utilized without top speakers - a sub speaker only output would produce a very “club” bumping feeling, but would sound muffled.

    Top and sub speaker PA system setups are great for:

    • Clients who want to have a sound output that is optimized for a loud and booming dance floor

    • Events that may need to start out with a low volume output, but wish to bump up the volume later in the evening for a party mode. 🎉

  • Deciding what the best size of PA system is for your event is similar to deciding what to have for dinner.

    While there are countless options on where or what to eat, not every option may fit you or your group’s needs.

    When it comes to food, some questions may arise such as:

    • What time should I eat?

    • What do I want to eat?

    • What style of food am I in the mood for?

    • Should I dine in, pick up, or order delivery?

    • Should I just eat in my car? 🤔

    Deciding which PA system is very similar to this concept. 😊

    We can provide standard or custom PA & lighting for events with 25 people and up to 2,500 people.

    To help us offer the best PA system for your exact event needs and wants, you can share the following information on your inquiry form:

    • The number of people you expect to have at your event

    • The number of DJ service hours you are needing for your event

    • If there will be standby time, before or after your DJ service time

  • Standby service time is the time of your event where the DJ service may not be needed, but the DJ and PA system is setup and ready to start at any given moment.

    Some clients choose to only book 2 hours of service for a 4 hour event. In this example, there would be 2 hours of standby time for our DJ.

    Our Standby Service time fee is $100, per hour, for our Essential and Deluxe PA systems.

    Standby fees for Custom PA systems may be more than $100 per hour, depending on our staff needs for your event. Please inquire.

  • Depending on your event needs, your event may require two, or more, PA systems.

    Scenarios where two PA systems may be needed are:

    • Weddings that will need a ceremony PA system and a Reception PA system

    • Corporate events that will need an Essential PA system for cocktail hour in one room, and then a Custom PA system setup for the main ballroom area.

  • There are countless music aficionados, but that may not equate to experience with high pressure music event situations.

    The difference between a professional and amateur anything is that professionals have already gone through the learning process of their subject and have countless hours and experiences to have instant knowledge of how to handle almost any situation.

    As with our DJs, they have experience in working with wedding clients to corporate galas to non-profit awards ceremonies and intimate family gatherings.

    A professional DJ understand that their sole purpose is to play music that fits you and your event needs.

    A professional DJ also knows:

    • How to be respectful and mindful with the power of the microphone

    • Know when to get on the mic to hype up the crowd or to let the music do the talking

    We understand and respect that everything we do is a reflection on our clients when it comes to the perspective of the event guests. If you look good, then so do we.

  • There are countless DJ options to choose from for your event and there is no right or wrong answer.

    The question is what kind of DJ is right for you and for your particular event.

    There are multiple points where we can help determine what kind of DJ is needed for your event:

    • On you inquiry form you can share with us your event DJ needs

    • We can schedule a call to discuss, more in depth, how we can best curate your DJ music experience

    • On our DJ questionnaire which is emailed to clients after booking, but well before their event, to help us refine the best setup for them and or their particular event even more.

  • Absolutely!

    We can also provide:

  • Quick answer: Absolutely! 🎉

    Many of our clients choose to either share a Spotify, iTunes, or typed out playlist of all their favorite songs with us well before their event.

    While our DJs do their best to play as many client requested songs as possible, there isn’t always enough time at the event to play every single song.

    On average, if a DJ only plays about 2 minutes of each song in a one hour setlist, the most songs that can be played in one hour is 30 songs.

    Some classic songs, like Bohemian Rhapsody, The Wobble, or Tennessee Whiskey tend to be great sing along songs for guests on the dance floor so our DJs opt to allow the entire song to play which is much longer than 2 minutes. 🎉😊

    Assuming that each song still averages to 2 minutes of play, in a 4 hour DJ booking, at max there could be 120 songs played, and that is without pausing for speeches or announcements.

    So while we are happy to review digital playlists that span 8 hours or 4 pages of typed out song lists, we will ask for “must be played” type songs on our DJ questionnaire to make sure you and your guests have a night to remember. ✨

    In addition to client submitted playlist requests, we leave it up to our clients to let us know if they would like for us to accept song requests from event guests.

    While we are honored when clients enjoy the DJ music, we may not always be able to offer extended service time. 🥲

    Depending on where the event is taking place, some venues have a very firm stop time on the event as a whole.

    Also, some venues charge the vendors that do not load out their equipment before a certain time, which could then incur a cost to you as the client.

    If additional DJ service time is something that you may need for your event, we can coordinate with you and your chosen venue, before your event date, to make sure that is a possibility the day/night of your event.
