Last Monday was a day to remember as OneAway Studios had the distinct honor of participating in the first full week of Fiesta at the Weston Centre, culminating in the spectacular Texas Cavaliers River Parade. This event is more than just a parade; it's a living testament to the vibrant traditions and community spirit that make San Antonio so special.

🚣‍♂️ A Storied Tradition on the River Walk

The Texas Cavaliers River Parade isn't just any parade; it's a cherished San Antonio tradition dating back to 1941, coinciding with the completion of the iconic River Walk. Inspired by a “floating garden” in Mexico City, this parade transforms the River Walk into a river of lights, colors, and festivities, drawing a crowd that far exceeds the available seating.

Imagine this: 17,000 chairs set up along the river, a special allocation for children and veterans, and an estimated total attendance nearing 250,000! This includes enthusiastic onlookers from riverside restaurants and bridges, all coming together in a grand celebration.

The Weston Centre, at the heart of these celebrations, outdid itself by providing guests with complimentary Fiesta-themed food and refreshments. Ensuring that everyone was fully immersed in the festive spirit, they set the perfect stage for an unforgettable evening.

🎵 DJ Fiesta Party Set by OneAway Studios

Our very own DJ Melissa Briseno kicked off the Weston Centre Fiesta party night with a four-hour DJ Fiesta Party set. Positioned on the riverwalk patio at the Weston Centre, Melissa's dynamic energy and fantastic music choices were the soul of the Fiesta. She kept the spirit high and the vibe alive, making it a night to remember for everyone in attendance.

📸 Capturing Memories with a Splash of Color

No OneAway Studios event is complete without a chance to capture those special moments. Our Photo Booth, standing at an impressive 10 feet tall with a stunning silver backdrop and adorned with large colorful paper flowers by The Inspiration Rainbow decoration company, was a hit! It provided a vibrant and fun way for attendees to remember the night.
